I don't have too much to update, but since Frances ordered it, I will comply. I am not sure where my last entry left off, but I think it was right after I first got here. Well, my parents left last Tuesday, so I have been completely on my own for about a week now. It hasn't been too bad. There have been some lonely times, but I have been trying to keep myself busy. Unfortunately this often means spending money. On Friday, I went to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. It was really nice and huge. Plus there weren't very many people there, so I was able to wander mostly by myself. Then I stopped by this small shopping area called Mountainbrook Village. It is a lot of small unique shops. I went into a little tiny bookstore, which then thanked my for supporting independent booksellers, after I purchased something (see spending money). Then I wandered through another store called Smith's Variety, which was a drugstore like I have never seen. They carried usual drugstore stuff plus really cool gift items and trinkets. Then I walked by a bunch of small clothing boutiques, but only window shopped. Yesterday, I went to this mall close to my house called The Summit. It was such a great mall, but so huge they have a shuttle to transport people. I just parked and re-parked, thinking the shuttle idea was just a little too crazy. I have officialy found my new favorite department store. It is called Parisian. Its kind of like Macy's or Nordstrom's, but they have been having amazing sales, so I am in love with it. And today, was spent going to the gym and then being lazy. I just finished a pretty good book, What Casanova Told Me. If you any of you do have free time, you should try it. I have been reading it in an attempt to procrastinate on finishing my book for school.
So what has been going on with everyone else? I hope you all are doing well and life isn't too crazy.
Meredith
